Hey, Banana-peelers,

We’ve seen all the love, memes, and curiosity surrounding Banana, and trust us.. We’re just as obsessed as you are! So we thought it was time to pull back the curtain a little and share something special with you.

Recently, we grabbed one of our developers and asked him to spill the banana peels about how Banana came to be. From the first idea to what it’s like watching the community grow (and click) nonstop, we had a lot of fun talking about it all and... We think you'll enjoy reading it!

Let’s peel back the layers and jump into the interview.


1. Our Banana Path: Who are we and where did we come from?

Most of us came from Web Development into Banana, it's been really time consuming since it's a different paradim and a different language, but we're getting there. We're intrigued with how it's working out with Banana and trying to keep it alive, by listening to the community when we screw up and when we don't. 


2. Could Banana Game Work as a Mobile App? Let’s Discuss

Yes, there's a bunch of technical problems we might have, like having 2 drops, one on phone and one on desktop, might happen. Another might be, some people who have an Android with Google Play account but not steam account, they can still get drops but won't be able to sell them on the Steam Community Market UNLESS they create an account on Steam and connect them. And many other issues/quirks. 


3. How Bananas Grow IRL – And How That is Inspiring Our Game Design

We've tried to implement as much as we can from the real life, somethings aren't live yet but will come at a later date like ripeness, but we've hit a wall in that regard. We'll need to use our imagination and fantasize what we can do to our Banana Game to make it appealing (haha) and addicting to play! 


4. AI vs. Human Banana Design – Can You Tell Which Is Which?

Depends on the quality of the art and of the AI. Some of it just doesn't make any sense, so it's immediately caught, and some are just caught by Spartan, cause he has a better eye on that than I do. But the more time passes the more AI gets better and is harder to differentiate 


5. Crossover Ideas We'd Love: Bananas in Other Game Universes

 We'd love to have ANY type of Bananas with other Games. For example: World of Warcraft - An Orcnana or Orgrimmarnana or Sylvanana CS2 - Chickenana, Infernana (the map Inferno), Dust2nana, etc League of Legends - Flashnana (the spell Flash), or a meme "F for Flashnana" There's multiple other ideas we can get and integrate with the game, if we are able to connect with these games, which most are denying our contact or collab, and we don't know why.
